Sometimes the most profound truths come out in these encounters. I love it that you shared this, and that the experience was essentially very positive, and oh so human. Shakespeare placed a character like this in every one of his plays. It's where the word "Touchstone" comes from. I'm proud that in Canada, we seem to offer compassion, however detached, instead of antagonism, when the perceived threat is merely aesthetic! Nicely written, Rob!
