At a certain point in training for an ultra it is a good idea to put back-to-back long runs together, say over a weekend. Yesterday was 2+ hours; this morning it was an hour plus. What kind of ultra am I training for? The kind that’s “in your dreams, moron” (an old neighborhood expression). On the other hand I’m told that life itself is an ultra so there is that.
