Tarmac Meditation #2: December 13, 2009
Ran early again. Always. Deep fog, haloed street lamps, moss in the trees, fresh rain, wet streets. The stars were hidden. The world was quiet save for footfall and breath. A little further today, a little faster. Time’s chariot is stilled for the moment. Waiting. There are pictures to shoot, words to write. Of time and miles and a river. My day rolls out into what has become a winter celebration in the luminous, rainbowed Pacific Northwest.

Love that you’re including your own pics now.
The overtaking of nature into our human constructions reminds me of her dominance; yet the bridge at the top presses down so heavily I am also reminded of how we humans, in the face of nature, frame our presence every where we go. This is a black and white photo with hints of colour. There are no footprints leading away or to this bench. It’s my choice to walk away or to sit in what is unusual. Yin and Yang.
Great stuff Michael.
